The short answer to the question is "NO."
Let's start by clarifying some things. I used to believe that if you commit suicide, you have no chance to ask for forgiveness, therefore you cannot go to Heaven. There is no teaching in the bible that supports this belief.
I have had to re-evaluate my thoughts in this matter. Since, I have learned what EXACTLY the unforgivable sin is (posted on this article), I have to believe, that this is NOT that. Therefore, committing suicide does NOT guarantee you a residence in hell. God looks at the entire picture. He examines the heart of the individual and He know everything about that person. Only God Himself is qualified to determine who goes to Hell and who goes the Heaven.
Suicide is indeed self-murder and a horrible tragedy. King David committed murder and so did Paul; did they go to hell? I think not. Yes, they did have the option to ask for forgiveness, but I do not think that is the deal-breaker here. If you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart and commit suicide (for reasons only known to God), I believe you are still saved and are going to Heaven. The bible is very clear on salvation. There is nothing on this planet that can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:38).
There are several believers in the bible that wished they had never been born. Such as Job (Job 3:1, 11; 10:18-19), Elijah (1 Kings 19:4), and Jonah (Jonah 1:12; 4:8-9). So, if you are feeling this way, you are not alone. I, myself have had these feeling many times and continue to fight them off; It is not easy.
I read an article on bible.org that says:
God never told a suicidal person that they would lose their salvation if they killed themselves. NOWHERE IN THE SCRIPTURES IS IT EVER SAID THAT THOSE WHO COMMIT SUICIDE GO TO HELL. Yes, Judas committed suicide and he went to hell, but it was because he did not believe in Jesus, but instead betrayed Him, resulting in His death.
With the world becoming more evil by the day (just watch the news or follow politics) and with what we know about what is going to happen in prophesy, I can certainly understand the feeling of escaping this world. BUT, that would deprive our Lord from working a miracle in you and even using you to help somebody else going through similar things.
Remember, you may be the only example of Jesus that a person has ever seen. You are loved by God and He has a plan for your life.
